Developed from the Webley Kaufmann pattern revolver, the “WG” or more correctly Webley’s Government Patent Revolver was first seen during the 1886 NRA Imperial Meeting at Wimbledon. Production started at approximately serial no. 1320, (when the Kaufmann was discontinued), production stopped at serial No. 22126 in 1914
