HBSA Midland Rook & Rabbit Rifle Competition

Wedgnock Warwick, Saturday 26th September 2026

Dear Competitors

Thank you all for competing in this years Autumn Midland Rook and Rabbit competition.

This meeting continues in popularity, with 17 individual entrants (1 brand new), unfortunately 1 had to drop out at the last minute.

As always, I would very much like to thank the Committee and Members of Wedgnock Range MLAGB for allowing us the use of their range.

The late September weather has excellent, warm turning to hot, with clear blue sky’s and no wind.

The 16 participants shot 54 matches, a total of 108 cards. The results may be viewed here >>>>

This was our 5th visit to Wedgnock following our move from Stourport.
It suits our requirements and we are left to our own devices.

I must congratulate and commend all those who attended, everything ran relatively smoothly.

For once we did not have any incidents of Cross Shooting.
We did however have a number of cards with 14 shots on. And one individual who shall remain nameless, failed to shoot his cards as sets, mixing up the pairs of cards.

I hope everyone had a good day, I certainly did, and thanks for your support.

A big thank you must go to Martin, Jon, Andrew, Stuart and Geoff who acted as Range Officers throughout the day. It is very much appreciated.

Best Regards
Paul Smith
