We shot the McQueen competition this morning (Sunday 15th). View the results here >>>>
This was the first McQueen competition since 2019. The weather was overcast with light occasional rain until the end of the morning when it poured. Luckily we had pretty much finished by then.
I have been trying some new markers recently, they seemed to be very good.
This is the first time I have run the McQueen without squadding either the zero target or the competition. We had the contestants waiting behind the firing point. This meant that within reason they could shoot when ready. Tony had the idea of not moving between the zero target and the castle essentially, I suppose, cross firing, this to make it more streamlined. I think these changes worked and were quite efficient.
My thanks to Richard Oldfield who ran the firing point while I shot.
