Maurice Kanarek Memorial Shoot & Lunch 15th December 2023

posted 17 December 2023, 11:15 am

The Wappenshaw shoot took place today, Saturday 16th December.

It was shot in the memory of the departed Maurice Kanarek.

The weather was overcast but just about managed to stay dry with very little wind.

The format was a grouping competition allowing 2 sighters followed by 10 shots to count. The group size was measured in centimetres.

Some 40 cards were shot by the 16 competitors. The full results will are published on the HBSA website here >>>>

Well done to Peter Bysshe who got the smallest group at 6 centimetres. No mean feat with iron sights as fitted.

This was followed by Lunch in the Bisley Pavilion.

Many thanks to Rob Davidson who organised the lunch and helped with RO duties on the firing point. Thanks also to George Tondryk who helped on the firing point.

Regards

Dave Carroll
