Members will be aware from our previous post of the sudden and unexpected death of George Geear, Vice-President Emeritus of the HBSA on the evening of the 8th February.

His wife Emma has been very touched by all the kind messages she has received and thanks everyone.

George’s funeral will be held on at 13.00 on Monday 4th March at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, Pembrokeshire, SA67 8UD. The funeral directors are John Roberts & Son of Pembroke Dock. Emma is conscious that it may be difficult for many to attend and arrangements have been made to live stream and record the service for those who may wish to “attend” through that medium. Details will follow.

For those who are able to attend personally and wish to do so there will be a reception after the service at the Begelly Arms, New Road, Begelly, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire, SA68 0YF to which you are warmly invited.

The Begelly Arms is near the Crematorium, and very close to the A477, the main road to Pembroke, or back towards Carmarthen and the M4 for those coming from the east.
