It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing away one of our founders and Vice Presidents Emeritus, Frederick J Wilkinson.

He died peacefully early today. His daughter Jo was with him. We have sent our sincere condolences.

Fred, as he was known to many members, was an expert and an enormously active author of books on vintage and historic arms, seeking to make information accessible to all.

We will communicate any future arrangements, although a private family funeral is expected. We will advise any charitable contributions to be made in his memory in due course.
